How would you compare/contrast and ?
Comparing and contrasting these two leagues are tough since they sit at completely different tiers of hockey (pro and major junior). You'll find very high-end caliber players across each league. To make somewhat of a comparison best as can, the top subset of veteran major junior players (say between 18-20 year olds) will be of a similar caliber to some of the younger KHL players around the same age. They're elite based on their age category.
