Evansville, Indiana sits in the southwestern corner of the state along the Ohio River. With a population of around 115,000 people, Evansville offers a nice combo of cultural attractions, recreation, and emphasis on community activities (events, fairs, etc).

#1- Evansville is home to the USS LST-325, which is one of the last fully operational WWII landing ship tanks in existence. The USS LST-325 now sits as both a museum and memorial, offering visitors a rare opportunity to explore a small piece of maritime history.
#2- The zoo in Evansville, Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden, is the oldest zoo in the state of Indiana. It's home to over 700+ animals and offers a diverse range of exhibits, including an awesome rainforest experience (Amazonia).
